01/20/2010 - Raleigh, NC (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The Duke Blue Devils invade Raleigh this evening for an ACC battle with rival NC State.
Duke has won its last two outings and owns an impressive 15-2 overall record, good enough to earn the squad the seventh position in the most recent AP poll. The Blue Devils defeated Wake Forest on Sunday, 90-70, to move to 3-1 in conference and their only two losses of the season have come against Georgia Tech and Wisconsin, both on the road by four points. Surprisingly, those are the only true road games that Duke has played thus far.
Losses in three of the last five outings have dropped NC State to 1-3 in ACC action, clearly overshadowing a 12-6 overall record. The Wolfpack dropped a 73-70 decision to Clemson on Saturday, and they are now a rather unimpressive 6-4 in front of the home crowd.
Duke owns a 136-96 advantage in the all-time series with NC State, which includes three straight wins over the Wolfpack.
Kyle Singler posted 21 points and 15 rebounds for Duke against Wake Forest on Sunday, and Nolan Smith pitched in with 20 points. Miles Plumlee had this best game of this, his rookie season, as the talented forward tallied 19 points and 14 rebounds while shooting 6-of-9 from the floor. His brother, Mason, added 11 points off the bench for Duke, which limited Wake Forest to 39.4 percent field goal efficiency. The Blue Devils also earned a 48-41 rebounding advantage and a 26-15 edge in points from the foul line. Jon Scheyer was a bit quiet against Wake Forest, but the Duke standout still leads his team with 18.9 ppg and 6.1 apg. Smith is close behind with 18.3 ppg, and Singler brings 15.7 ppg and 7.8 rpg to the mix, rounding out arguably the nation's top trio. The Blue Devils are generating 84.6 ppg while holding foes to 61.1 ppg on 38.4 percent shooting.
Tracy Smith has participated in 17 of NC State's 18 games this season and is averaging 16.9 ppg on 53.7 percent shooting from the floor. In addition to his offensive ability, Smith is ripping down 8.8 rpg as well. Dennis Horner is the only other double-digit scorer in the hold, as he is netting 12.5 ppg on 51.3 percent field goal efficiency. While the Wolfpack are scoring 70.7 ppg, they are allowing 64.2 ppg on 41 percent shooting from the field. Five players reached double figures in scoring for NC State against Clemson last time out, but despite a tremendous effort in the second half of that game, the Wolfpack simply couldn't overcome a 17-point deficit at intermission. Julius Mays scored 17 points for NC State, and Smith added 16 points and nine rebounds.

Let’s take a look at the Super Bowl 2009 betting odds and the betting line and figure out where they’ve been and where they are going to go.
MySportsbook.com put up the Super Bowl 2009 betting odds late on Sunday night with the Pittsburgh Steelers favored by 6.5 points and a total betting line at 47.5 points.
Since then, however, the Super Bowl 2009 betting odds have seen a good deal of movement and you’ll want to be on top of where they are likely to move to make sure you get the best line value for the big game.
Since opening, the Super Bowl 2009 betting lines went to Steelers -7 in the span of roughly 3 hours but were quickly bought back down just minutes later to 6.5 again.
After that is took about 5-6 more hours before the betting line went back to -7 where it has sat for a while now and is likely to remain. The opening betting total of 47.5 was bet down right after the line became available and went to 47 within minutes.
Roughly a day later it has been bet even further down to the 46.5 tally it currently is set at.
Roughly 60% of gamblers seem to be on the Cardinals here so the point spread will be bet down and a 7.5 would not last very long at all with many taking the early 6.5 in hopes of finding a potential middle in the Super Bowl 2009 betting odds.
If you like Arizona and see a 7.5, I’d take it as soon as possible because it’s unlikely to last. For Pittsburgh backers, the -7 might be the best you’ll be able to find but a 6.5 is definitely possible close to game time.
Regarding the Super Bowl 2009 betting odds for the total, most tracked gamblers are already on the over and with those who took the under 47.5 already securing a middle on the over 46.5, the only way I see it moving is back up to 47 so if you like the over, I’d recommend betting now.
